いよいよ今週末です。メタモルフォーゼ・フェスティヴァルの全ステージのスケジュールが発表されています。オマーやアルバム・リーフが出演するメインステージSolar Stageのスケジュールはこんな感じになっています。
マニュエルとスティーヴ・ヒレッジ、そしてもちろん、メタモ恒例、デトロイト・テクノ枠になんとX-102が！かなりあがります！

マーズ・ヴォルタの頭脳、司令塔であるオマー・ロドリゲズ・ロペズのソロ・グループが
9月4日(土)に行われるメタモルフォーゼ・フェスティヴァルのために来日！
来日メンバーですが、
Omar Rodriguez Lopez (G)
Marcel Rodriguez Lopez (Key,Percussion)
Ximena Sariñana Rivera (Vocal)
Juan Alderette (Bass)
Deantoni Parks (Drums)
といった5人編成でOmarのソロアルバム”Xenophanes”そしてまだ発表されていない
”Un Escorpion Perfumado”からの曲をプレイする予定。
Omar,Juan,MarcelはThe Mars Voltaでおなじみですよね。そしてドラムは1度、The Mars Voltaのメンバーとしても来日していて凄まじいプレイを見せてくれたDeantoni Parks。彼は自身のバンドKuduを率いたり、John Cale,Me’shell Ndegeocello,Lenny Kravitz,Elvis Costello,Sadeなどのセッションでも有名。ヴォーカルのXimenaは、ここ最近のOmarのソロアルバム”Solar Gambling”,”Los Sueños De Un Higado”のコラボレーションしてる人、グラミー賞やラテングラミー賞にノミネートされた事のあるメキシコでは有名なシンガーソングライターです。この面子でのライブは日本ではもちろん初めて。ファンならずとも見逃せないプレミアム・ライブになる事は必至ですね！
Omar Rodriguez Lopez of The Mars Volta will perform in select cities during summer 2010, utilizing a small core of players familiar to fans of the prolific guitarist. Joining him onstage as the Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group will be Juan Alderete de la Peña (bass) and Marcel Rodriguez Lopez (keys and percussion), both of The Mars Volta; occasional Volta drummer Deantoni Parks, renowned for his work with Elvis Costello, John Cale, and his own band, Kudu; and Grammy-nominated vocalist Ximena Sariñana Rivera, whose presence on recent Rodriguez Lopez albums such as Solar Gambling and Los Sueños De Un Higado has been met with acclaim from fans and critics alike. The band will perform tracks from the aforementioned albums as well as 2009′s Xenophanes and selections from as-yet-unreleased records, such as Un Escorpion Perfumado.

2003年に結成し、米・ロサンゼルスのDIYアート・スペース「THE SMELL」を活動の拠点としてNO AGE、MIKA MIKOとともにそのコミュニティを世界的に盛り上げてきたLAの4人組、ABE VIGODA。斬新なトロピカル・パンクを聞かせる2008年リリースの傑作サード・アルバム“SKELETON”に、ダークでシューゲイザー的な新境地を見せる2009年リリースの“REVIVER EP”をプラスした編集盤で遂に日本デビュー！
NO AGEを筆頭に「SHITGAZE」「ネオ・シューゲイザー」「00’sローファイ」などと呼ばれUSインディー・シーンの新勢力として世界を席巻するこのムーヴメント。本作はその動きを代表する作品の１つとして歴史を刻む重要作品と言えるだろう。

2006年の1stアルバム“C.Y.S.L.A.B.F.”で鮮烈なデビューを飾り、来日公演を経てここ日本でも一躍人気者になったMIKA MIKO。2003年に結成された5人組（現在のラインナップは女子4名＋男子1名）で、米・ロサンゼルスのDIYアート・スペース「THE SMELL」を活動の拠点としてNO AGEやABE VIGODAとともにそのコミュニティを世界的に盛り上げてきた立役者でもある。BLACK FLAGやSLITS、BIKINI KILLの影響を感じさせながら、それを焼き直すだけではなく自らのオリジナリティを加えて同じポジションで鳴らす等身大のパンク・スターへと成長したMIKA MIKO。彼女達が巻き起こすキュートな狂乱を詰め込んだ、ドライブ感あふれる2ndフルがここに堂々到着！
